MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF APPEALS OF REFRIGERATION, AIRCONDITIONING, WARM AIR HEATING AND BOILERS. MARCH 31, 2005 9:00 A.M. Those Present: Ray Frederick, Gary Highfill, Carl Hanna, Frank Rash, Blaine Tharp and Dan Leidy. Those Absent: Bob Stith and David Hughes Board approved the minutes of the January meeting. Board discussed at length a variance request by Gary Highfill for 8239 Bluestem. This was a replacement furnace in a bathroom area with bi-fold doors. The Board granted the variance request for this particular job. (See attached request) Mr. Leidy requested that the Board discontinue the Residential Sheet metal Exam given at WSU. The Board decided that since there is a Sheet Metal only given through Experior, and The ICC exam is now available for the Journeyman and Master exams, and we still have the Journeyman and Master exams given through Experior, the exams at WSU served their purpose and should be discontinued. Also, these exams were written for the 1997 UMC and would have to be totally revised if we were to keep them. The Board voted to stop offering this exam June 1, 2005. New Business: None Old Business: Discussion of renewal of Board positions in June. Discussion of House Bill 2058. Meeting Adjourned. Dan Leidy, Secretary of the Board of Appeals
