WICHITA HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MINUTES 10 NOVEMBER 2003 ARK VALLEY LODGE CONFERENCE ROOM, 615 N MAIN ST 3:00 P.M. The regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Board was held Monday, November 10th, 2003 at 3:00 P.M. in the Ark Valley Lodge Conference Room, City Hall – 615 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas. ITEM NO. 1 ROLL CALL The meeting was called to order and board members stated their names. ITEM NO. 3 REVOLVING LOAN FUND UPDATE Kathy Morgan reported the loan balances as of 11/01/2003. Revolving Loan Fund – Residential $ 101,020.73 Revolving Loan Fund – Non-residential zero Deferred Loan Fund – Residential $ 80,896.20 ITEM NO. 4 CORRESPONDENCE None ITEM NO. 5 APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE 13 OCTOBER BOARD MEETING Motion #1: Motion was made by Cavanaugh, seconded by Deer, to approve the minutes from the 13 October 2003 meeting. Motion #2: Motion was made by Cavanaugh, seconded by Platt, to receive and file HPC2003 – 180, -181, 1-82, - 183, -184, -187, -189, -190, -191. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 8 MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS 1. Update on the proposed project at 223 E Douglas, HPC2003-00141. 2. Historic District nominations – all four districts were approved unanimously by the SITES board. The Historic Preservation office should be receiving a confirmation letter shortly. The SHPO requested that some additional information be added to the documentation; when that has been added, the nominations will be sent on to the National Park Service. 3. Discussion of the issue of siding making an otherwise contributing structure not eligible for inclusion – not consistent from state to state, or case to case.
