The Advance Plans Committee approved the minutes of the April 24, 2008 Committee meeting. 2. Pete Giroux gave the Committee an overview of the major facility improvements proposed in the proposed 2009-2013 Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Plan. Local sales tax is the key funding source for most of the CIP items, with sales tax revenues meeting anticipated projections. Major facility improvements proposed include a juvenile court facility, fire station relocations, the Intrust Bank arena project, center for aviation training, and the deferral of the adult detention facility. 3. Jim Weber gave the Committee an overview of the major road and bridge infrastructure improvements over $1 million proposed in the proposed 2009-2013 Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Plan. Projects in Years 2010-2013 may be adjusted in the CIP next years, dependent upon changing priorities and costs of construction materials. 4. Following the review of facility and public infrastructure improvements as proposed in the proposed 2009-2013 Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Plan, the Committee unanimously passed a motion recommending that the MAPC find the proposed 2009-2013 Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Plan to be in conformity with the Wichita-Sedgwick County Comprehensive Plan as amended. 5. The next meeting of the Advance Plans Committee is scheduled for 7:35 a.m., August 21, 2008. 6. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
