MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP/EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL

			Wichita, Kansas, February 24, 2004
			Tuesday, 9:00 A.M.


	The City Council met in a workshop session with Mayor Mayans in the Chair.  Council Members Brewer, Fearey, Gray, Lambke, Martz, Schlapp; present.

	Cathy Holdeman, Interim City Manager; Gary Rebenstorf, Director of Law present.

	The workshop convened at 9:00 a.m. at the Ark Valley Lodge, 615 North Main.

Mayor Mayans	Mayor Mayans announced at 12:45 p.m. that the City Council was going into executive session.

Motion--	Mayor Mayans moved that the City Council recess into executive session to consider Consultation with legal counsel on matters privileged in the attorney-client relationship relating to legal advice and matters relating to security of public bodies or agencies, public buildings or facilities, or information systems, and that the Council return from executive session no earlier than 1:30 p.m. and reconvene in 
     --carried	the Ark Valley Lodge Meeting Room.  Motion carried 7 to 0.


RECONVENED	The City Council returned from executive session at 1:34 p.m. and reconvened in the Ark Valley Lodge Meeting Room.

Mayor Mayans	Mayor Mayans announced that no action was necessary as a result of the executive session.

Motion--carried	Mayans moved that the executive session be adjourned.  Motion carried 7 to 0.


Adjournment	The executive session adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
