Discussion Summary 

1.	The Advance Plans Committee approved the minutes of the May 12, 2005 
Committee meeting.

2.	Central Northeast Area Plan Update: Staff reviewed with the Committee, the 
format and general content of the June 28, 2005 Draft Plan including the 11 Plan 
Priorities and the 43 detailed Plan Initiatives to help achieve these priorities.

?	The Committee suggested that term 'ombudsman' used in Initiative 2.4 
Northeast Ombudsman should be reworded to something like 'resource 
coordination person' to better convey the meaning and intent of this initiative.
?	John McKay felt that the City should designate a fulltime position to help 
oversee the implementation of this Plan. Relying on neighborhood leaders 
and/or a resource coordinator type person would not be sufficient to ensure the 
implementation of this Plan or any of the other adopted neighborhood plans.
?	The Committee felt that the Plan was ready for review by the Planning 
Commission as a whole at the meeting later that day.

No future meeting date was set for the next Advance Plans Committee meeting.
