Wednesday, May 22nd, 2008



Present:   John Shepherd, Carl Hanna, Ray Frederick, Gary Highfill, and Dave Hughes (Randy Holm arrived late)

Absent:   Frank Rash and Stoney Nethercot

Staff:   Sharon Dickgrafe w/ Law Department, Kurt Schroeder, and Kim Mudd

Guests Present:   Phillip Wise, Lonny Wright and Dan Leidy w/ PACK

Chairman, Dave Hughes called the meeting to order.

Ray Frederick, seconded by Carl Hanna, moved to accept the March minutes, motion carried 5 – 0.

Phillip Wise was present to ask the Board for approval on renewing his certificate.  Mr. Wise had not renewed his mechanical certificate and/or took any continuing education classes.  After discussion, Ray Frederick, seconded by John Shepherd, moved to deny Mr. Wises’ request, motion carried 5 – 0.

Randy Holm arrived.

Discussion was held on the NFI (National Fireplace Institute) examinations for Wichita fireplace installer’s policy, more review and corrections were made to the policy.

A copy of the cleaning/minor maintenance letter and the list of distribution were given to each board member.


Ray Frederick, seconded by John Shepherd, to adjourn the meeting, motion carried 6 – 0.
