MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL


				Wichita, Kansas, February 25, 2003
			        	Tuesday, 9:00 A.M.


	The City Council met in workshop session at Friends University with Mayor Knight in the Chair.  Council Members Brewer, Fearey, Gale, Lambke, Martz, Pisciotte, present.

	Chris Cherches, City Manager; Gary Rebenstorf, Director of Law; present.



	EXECUTIVE SESSION

Motion --	Knight moved that the City Council recess into executive session to consider consultation with legal counsel on matters privileged in the attorney-client relationship relating to potential litigation, legal advice, contract negotiations, preliminary discussions relating to the acquisition of real property for 
	public purposes, and confidential data relating to the financial affairs or trade secrets of a business; and 
          -- carried	that the City Council return no earlier than 12:50 p.m.  Motion carried 7 to 0.

RECESS	The City Council recessed at 11:50 a.m. and reconvened at 12:58 p.m.

Mayor Knight	Mayor Knight announced that no action was necessary as a result of the executive session.


ADJOURNMENT	The special executive session adjourned at 12:59 p.m.
