ITEM NO. 4 CORRESPONDENCE Response to letter from Michael Cathcart regarding 134 N. St. Francis historic tax credit project. HP staff wrote a letter to Mr. Cathcart stating that making the building ADA accessible would destroy historic materials and therefore is exempt from ADA regulations. Copy of Mr. Cathcart’s letter was included in packets. City Attorney reviewed HP letter before it was sent. ITEM NO. 5 APPROVAL OF MINUTES FROM THE 10 NOVEMBER 2008 MEETING Motion #1 made by Ingle, 2nd by Churchman to approve the November 10th minutes as corrected. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 6 OLD BUSINESS A. HPC2008-00140 Amend Historic Preservation Ordinance APPLICANT: City of Wichita, Planning Department, Office of Historic Preservation Applicant proposes amendments to Sections 2.12.1015, 2.12.1016, 2.12.1018, 2.12.1019, 2.12.1019.1, 2.12.1020, 2.12.1021, 2.12.1021.1, 2.12.1022, 2.12.1023, 2.12.1024, 2.12.1024.2, and 2.12.1025 of the Code of the City of Wichita, Kansas pertaining to Boards, Agencies and Commissions, and repeal of the originals of said sections. Barbara Hammond and Sharon Dickgrafe attended a CLG training on November 19, in Topeka. There were a few revisions required to satisfy the Kansas State Preservation Law. In addition, notice difference in the appearance of the agenda on how motions are worded. ITEM NO. 8 PROJECT REVIEW A. HPC2008-00286 Revolving Loan Application reviewed under City Ordinance 2.12.1015 - 1025 APPLICANT: Immanuel House of Faith/Curtiss Marlowe, Sr. FOR: 530 N Indiana Applicant requests assistance for replacement of roof on house and garage. Curtiss Marlowe was present for questions and comments. Motion #3 made by Churchman, 2nd by Ingle to support the proposed application in the amount of $5,000 from the Revolving Loan Fund for Historic Properties as reviewed in compliance with City Code 2.12.1015-1025 with the condition that all loan requirements are met. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). B. HPC2008-00287 Environs Review of NR listed Munger House as per K.S.A. 75-2715 – 2725, as amended APPLICANT: Cowtown Museum FOR: 1865 Museum Blvd Applicant is requesting approval to locate the Heller Cabin between the Cowtown Visitor’s Center and the Munger House and renovate it to its specific time period. Amy Loch, curator of the museum was present for questions and comments. Motion #4 made by Seiwert, 2nd by Churchman to find that proposed relocation of the Heller Cabin between the Cowtown Visitor’s Center and the National Register listed Munger House does not encroach upon, damage or destroy the environs of the Munger House as reviewed in accordance with K.S.A. 75.2715-2725. Motion carried unanimously (6-0). ITEM NO. 9 MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS A. Election of officers for 2009, will take place at January 12, 2009 meeting. B. Put on Agenda Fresh Air Baby Camp for follow up at the January 12, 2009 meeting. C. Schedule workshop in 2009 the Amend Historic Preservation Ordinance.
