Discussion Summary

1.	The Advance Plans Committee approved the minutes of the May 21, 2009 Committee 
meeting.

2.	Pete Giroux, Principal Budget Analyst with Sedgwick County, presented a summary 
of the proposed 2010-2014 Capital Improvement Program for Sedgwick County.  The 
proposed CIP is scheduled to be presented to the Sedgwick County Board of 
Commissioners on July 15th, to the Wichita-Sedgwick County MAPC on July 23rd, 
and finally approved by Sedgwick County Board of Commissioners on August 5, 
2009. 

Jim Weber, County Public Works Engineer, gave a listing and brief description of the 
significant capital road, bridge and facility projects (projects over $1 million) 
scheduled for construction over the next five years. A map showing the location of 
the proposed capital improvements was also distributed to the Committee members. 
Following some discussion and points of clarification on certain proposed project, the 
Committee unanimously passed a motion recommending that the MAPC find the 
proposed 2010-2014 Sedgwick County Capital Improvement Plan to be in conformity 
with the Wichita-Sedgwick County Comprehensive Plan as amended.
