The City of Wichita is hosting its annual TreeCycle again this year. Citizens are encouraged to dispose of their live cut Christmas trees at one of the following seven locations anytime between now and Saturday, January 22: Boston Park (by the rec center) Botanica: The Wichita Gardens (nearby in NE corner of Amidon and Murdock) Buffalo Park (parking lot near baseball backstops) Edgemoor Park (parking lot between pool and rec center) Linwood Park - South (by pool) Osage Park (near the rec center) Sedgwick County Extension Center Only live-cut Christmas trees (with NO ornaments or lights) will be accepted at the drop off centers. Citizens who have broken tree branches as a result of the recent snowstorm can take the debris to the Brooks Landfill for free until the end of the year. Last year, more than 11,000 citizens participated in TreeCycle. The City hopes participation will increase significantly this year.
