Chief Z.O. Oloruntoba, folk artist and spiritual leader of the Nigerian city of Ibadan, is visiting Wichita this week. Last year, the Chief donated two tapestries to the City of Wichita. One is hanging in the Maya Angelou Northeast Branch Library, and the other at the Northeast Health Station.
On March 3, the Chief will visit the Northeast Health Station between 3:30-4:00 PM and the Maya Angelou Library between 4:00 and 4:30 PM. There will be receptions at both locations that are open to the public. Citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
In addition, the Chief will stop by the Mayor’s Office for a brief visit with Mayor Bob Knight at 10:15 AM on March 6.
