The McAdams Plan Steering Committee of the 21st Century Coalition for Neighborhood Revitalization will be holding a neighborhood meeting at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 24. The committee will present the Vision Statement, Plan Goals, and Future Land Use Scenario proposed as part of the McAdams Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. The meeting will take place at the McAdams Recreation Center at 1329 E. 16th Street. The meeting is open to the public. The McAdams Plan Steering Committee recently developed the proposed Vision Statement, Plan Goals, and Future Land Use Scenario for the neighborhood utilizing information received from a property owner’s survey conducted in April of this year, a survey of area businesses conducted in November 2001, and a neighborhood meeting held in September 2001. The Vision Statement, Plan Goals, and Future Land Use Scenario will serve as the basis for the development of action plans to implement the overall revitalization strategy for the neighborhood.
