The Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is pleased to announce that Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines will add three daily non-stop flights between Wichita and Delta’s Salt Lake City hub, effective January 31, 2005. Other changes to Delta service at Mid-Continent Airport effective January 31 include the addition of a sixth daily flight to Atlanta and the addition of a third daily flight to Cincinnati.

With the changes, Delta Connection carriers Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), Comair and SkyWest Airlines will offer 12 daily departures from Wichita to three Delta hubs - up from 11 departures today. Delta Connection will discontinue four daily flights between Wichita and Dallas/Ft. Worth, effective December 1, 2004.

The expansion of service to Delta’s three largest hubs from Mid-Continent Airport comes as a result of restructuring efforts being undertaken by Delta system-wide to make its service offering more consumer responsive. Delta customers also will find expanded connecting opportunities at Atlanta, Cincinnati and Salt Lake City as a result of growth planned at the three hubs. At Atlanta, for example, customers will now be able to choose from more than 1,000 daily departures to nearly 200 worldwide destinations.
