The City of Wichita has hired a new Government Relations Director. Scott Schneider will assume his duties January 3, 2005, serving as the City’s lobbyist and working with various governmental agencies on issues that affect the Wichita community.
Prior to joining the City of Wichita, Scott served as a Government Relations Consultant for Gaches, Braden, Barbee & Associates in Topeka. His client list consisted of Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kansas Wind Coalition, Kansas Association of Defense Counsel, Kansas Home Inspectors, Southern Star Pipelines, Northern Natural Gas and El Paso Energy.
Prior to that, Scott served as Organization Director for the Kansans for Bill Graves Re-election Campaign; and Director of Constituent Services, Officer of the Governor of the State of Kansas.
Scott has a Juris Doctorate from Washburn School of Law and Bachelors of Arts in History from Friends University.
