For the first time, the City of Wichita has entered a partnership with another publication, Wichita Family Magazine, to produce an all-encompassing program guide of activities offered through City of Wichita departments and facilities. This new guide: Live. Learn. Play! will be part of Wichita Family Magazine, and located within the August edition that is distributed FREE through area Dillon’s Stores and city facilities. This publication will include class and activity schedules from the following city entities: Park & Recreation Department (10 area locations) CityArts Wichita Ice Center WATER Center City Golf Courses Great Plains Nature Center Public Libraries Wichita Art Museum Neighborhood City Halls Community Education Programs "Often times, I have heard the perception that Wichita does not have enough to do," said Mayor Carlos Mayans in his introductory letter in the publication. "When in reality there is plenty to do! It may surprise you when you see that there are over 70 pages of fun and educational opportunities that are offered at no charge or at a low price," he said.
