City of Wichita's Five Municipal Golf Courses - Auburn Hills, Tex Consolver, Sim Park, L.W. Clapp, and MacDonald – are accepting donations of new and used golf equipment to send to Kansas National Guard troops stationed in Iraq. Donations will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 3. The five municipal golf courses are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday. City golf officials are primarily seeking golf clubs and golf balls, but other equipment and gear will be shipped. A soldier from Kansas who is serving in Iraq requested the used golf equipment.
