Good news for summer travelers! Northwest Airlines will be adding a third flight to Minneapolis effective June 8. The new flight will depart Wichita at 11:35 AM and arrive Minneapolis at 1:25 PM. From Minneapolis, the flight will leave at 9:10 AM and arrive in Wichita at 11:05 AM. Northwest Airlines has a partnership with Pinnacle Airlines, which serves as the connection carrier in Wichita.
Additional summer travel opportunities have been added at Mid-Continent. Allegiant Air has added Saturday non-stop service for the summer from Wichita to Las Vegas beginning June 3, and will operate through August 26. The flight will depart Wichita at 2:05 PM and arrive in Las Vegas at 2:45 PM. It will depart Vegas at 8:55 AM and arrive in Wichita at 1:30 PM. This additional flight will give travelers 6 weekly flights to Vegas. Allegiant Air does not operate on Tuesdays.
Last week Mid-Continent announced that Delta began a seasonal non-stop service from Wichita Mid-Continent Airport to Orlando. The Saturday service is effective May 27 through Sept. 2, 2006. Flight 4150 departs Wichita at 10:45 AM, arrives Orlando at 2:30 PM; Flight 4150 departs Orlando at 3 PM and arrives Wichita at 5 PM. AirTran Airways also has this service. Flight 680 departs Wichita at approximately 1 PM and arrives in Orlando at 4:45 PM; Flight 681 departs Orlando at 5 PM and arrives Wichita at 7 PM.
Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT) offers 11 nonstop destinations, all of which are international gateways, and 11 airlines with the convenience and affordability that air travelers expect. Last year, 1.5 million air travelers chose Wichita Mid-Continent Airport to get to their travel destinations.
