The City of Wichita’s Environmental Services Department will honor childcare provider Cindy Clark for long-term excellence at a reception 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7. The reception will take place after a childcare orientation class at the Environmental Services Department auditorium, 1900 E. 9th.
Clark, who operates a licensed day care home in Kechi, recently received her 10th consecutive annual licensing inspection without any deficiencies being noted. Approximately 13 percent of childcare facilities receive “perfect” inspections each year, but less than one percent maintain this level of performance over a ten-year period.
Surveyors from the Environmental Services Department inspect licensed day care homes, day care centers, latch-key programs, and other child care facilities for compliance with health and safety regulations. Inspection and education services are provided throughout Sedgwick County under a grant from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
