Free Home Winterization Packets

Free home winterization packets are still available at the City of Wichita’s four Neighborhood City Halls - Evergreen, 2700 N. Woodland; Stanley Aley, 1749 S. Martinson; Colvin, 2820 S. Roosevelt; and Atwater, 2755 E. 19th Street North.
The kits include materials to cover windows and doors, weather stripping, rope and acrylic caulking to seal cracks, switch plate insulators to stop drafts, water saving devices, and energy saving fluorescent bulbs.
The winterization kits involve a number of easily installed materials and tools that will help lessen the impact of high-energy costs and cold weather on Wichita citizens. The winterization conservation kits are available based upon the following income guidelines:

Applicants must fill out a winterization kit receipt and installation agreement. The program is funded through the Kansas Warm Homes Project, which is coordinated in the State of Kansas Energy Office.
