“Construction Bee” continues to work at one of the City’s most traveled intersections: Rock Road and Kellogg. The project has been progressing efficiently and effectively. But with construction, forward progress means change – and some key next steps happen this week. On Thursday April 5, the northbound lanes of Rock Road at Kellogg will move to the far outside lanes. Construction will move to the center of Rock Road. This work will last about two weeks. At that time another traffic control switch will be made. Both northbound and southbound traffic will continue to have two through lanes and one left turn lane. “With this construction, the Public Works Department works hard to keep all access open to our valuable local businesses so people can visit them just as they typically would do,” said Chris Carrier, Public Works Director. “We understand that construction brings challenges for drivers which is why the department and contractors have worked extremely hard to keep all driveways and business entrances open,” he said. The Public Works Department reminds citizens that all left turns will remain open and all access to area businesses will continue to be open to the public in support of the business community. Public Works, and the on-site contractor send thanks and appreciation to the public for keeping the construction site safe. A PDF file is attached to illustrate the construction changes. Back to Top
