A new tipping fee at Brooks Landfill will take effect Aug. 1, 2007. The tipping fee increases from $20 per ton to $24 per ton. The tipping fee will increase an additional $1 per ton, to $25 per ton, effective Jan. 1, 2008.
Landfill operator, Herzog Environmental, will notify landfill customers of the change before August 1. The fee increase was on the Wichita City Council consent agenda Tuesday, July 2.
