Beginning Thursday, July 19, AirTran Airway’s ticket counter will be located farther east from the current location, next to the Allegiant Air ticket counter.
AirTran’s new area will have an enhanced vibrant appearance, with new ticket counters and a mural in the background.
AirTran requested the move in order to shorten the walk for passengers to the security checkpoint. AirTran will also transport passengers’ checked baggage to the TSA machines for screening.
“The move will cause a reconfiguration of the check-in lines for all airlines on the east end of the ticket counter lobby,” Victor White, Director of Airports, said. “We ask that passengers follow the entrance signs for their airline and encourage passengers without checked bags to use the self-check-in kiosks at the individual airlines.”
