125,881 Passengers Traveled Through the Airport in September
Passenger traffic at Mid-Continent Airport set a new September record as it recorded its 12th consecutive monthly increase.
A total of 125,881 total passengers were reported for September, an increase of 10.36% over September 2006. The old September record was 115,794 passengers set in 2004. For the year to date, passenger traffic is up 8.79%.
“With increased use of Mid-Continent Airport, it is important that passengers arrive early” advised Airport spokesperson Valerie Wise. “That is especially important for flights with departure times before 8 a.m.”
Passengers are advised to arrive two hours before their departure time if it falls between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m., allowing adequate time for check in and the screening process.
“We also wish to remind travelers of the convenient shuttle parking lot which provides a courtesy van to transport passengers directly to the front of the terminal building and back to your car,” Wise said.
The shuttle lot can be found at the exit off of Mid-Continent Drive marked “Park & Ride”.
