Environmental Justice Workshop The City of Wichita is hosting the Walk About Wichita workshop from 8am – 5pm Wednesday, October 15th at the Atwater Neighborhood City Hall, 2755 E. 19th St. North. The workshop is addressing environmental justice concerns. Environmental justice seeks to ensure the fair treatment of all people regardless of race, national origin, education level or income in regards to creating, enforcing and implementing environmental laws. The workshop is exploring how Wichita and other communities from all over the world have addressed quality of life issues such as blight and environmental health conditions. Participants from Canada, Sweden, South Vietnam, Thailand and many other locations across the United States are attending the one day workshop.
