Online, telephone payments disabled during transition
The Wichita Water Utilities online and phone payment system is currently down while computer upgrades take place. The system is expected to be operating again by 8 a.m., Wednesday, Nov.12.
“The upgrades will improve the efficiency of the system to better serve customers,” David Warren, Director of Water Utilities, said.
During the shutdown, customers should pay by mail or in person at the City Hall Express Office, first floor, 455 N. Main. Hours of operation are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. An after-hours drop-off box is also located outside of the main entrance to City Hall.
Customers may still call 265-1300 to have general account questions answered.
Water Utilities will record the date it receives all payments and credit them to accounts once the system is fully operational. Customers who pay their bills by their due date will not be assessed a late fee or have their service interrupted. Please note that the City Hall Express Office is the only authorized Water Utilities payment center. Individuals who drop off payments at pawn shops or other area retail locations are not guaranteed that their payments will reach Water Utilities before their due date.
