Special meetings, media interviews and public forums scheduled
Following is updated information regarding remaining public and special meetings related to Wichita City Manager candidates.
SPECIAL MEETINGS
Wichita City Manager candidates are scheduled to participate in special meetings with the Wichita City Council and the Citizens Search Committee today and Friday at City Hall, 455 N. Main or at Century II. The special meetings will be held so that the Council and Citizens Committee can go into executive session for candidate interviews.
Candidates will meet with the Council in separate one-hour interviews from 1 to 4 p.m. today and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday in the first floor Council Conference Room.
Candidates will meet with the Citizens Committee in separate one-hour interviews from 1 to 3 p.m. today in Room 101 at Century II.
The City Council is scheduled to hold a special meeting to go into executive session at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Council Conference Room at City Hall.
MEDIA INTERVIEWS
Media are invited to interview candidates today and Thursday in the first-floor City7 studio at City Hall, 455 N. Main. Three candidates will grant separate 15-minute interviews today and two candidates will grant separate 15-minute interviews on Thursday. Journalists are encouraged to arrive early due to tight scheduling. Interview times follow.

3:30 - William Buchanan – Sedgwick County Manager.
Candidates Norton Bonaparte, Jr. (Topeka, KS City Manager), George Noe (former Corpus Christi, TX City Manager) and Robert Layton (Urbandale, IA City Manager) participated in media interviews on Wednesday.
PUBLIC FORUMS
Media and the public are also invited to attend a televised public forum featuring Johnson and Buchanan at 6 p.m. today in the first floor boardroom of City Hall. The meetings will be televised live on City7, or Cable Channel 7, and at www.wichita.gov. The public is encouraged to arrive early to submit questions in writing. Seating is limited.
Bonaparte, Jr., Noe, and Layton participated in a televised public forum on Wednesday.
Beginning Friday, the televised public forums will air repeatedly on Channel 7 and be available on demand at www.wichita.gov.
