Repairs will force temporary service shutdown tonight About 100 Wichita residences will be without water service later tonight, while Wichita Water Utilities officials repair a water main break on Topeka between Mt. Vernon and Harry. The water main break, which occurred about 4 p.m. today, has reduced water pressure in the affected area and caused the shutdown of a traffic lane on South Topeka.
