Please join the City of Wichita Housing Authority for an informational session on public housing for the elderly. The open house will be held at 1:30 PM, Monday, March 11, and repeated at 3:30 PM that day. The open house will provide information on income eligibility, residency requirements and waiting lists. Guests will be allowed to tour an apartment and have questions answered by the property manager as well as from a representative from the Tenant Association.
Currently the City of Wichita Housing Authority has apartments available for occupancy for those individuals who are 62 years and older. The one-bedroom apartments are located at Greenway Manor, 315 Riverview and McLean Manor, 2627 W. 9th. The maximum monthly rent for a one-bedroom home is $275. The rent is determined by adjusted income so most residents will receive a rent subsidy and pay much less for their monthly rental amount.
The open house, with refreshments, will be held at Greenway Manor, 315 Riverview. Space is limited so please call the City of Wichita Housing Services Department at 268-4688 to make your reservation.
