This year marks the ninth annual Museums à la Carte. Jump aboard a trolley and travel to the six Museums on the River for wonderful hors d'oeuvres and beverages from the city's best restaurants and outstanding entertainment. Begin at any museum and then visit the other museums in the order you choose to.

This year’s Museum à la Carte takes place on Thursday, June 20, from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Trolleys will run from 6-10 p.m.

The following is the schedule for a wonderful evening of art, music, food and fun:

Botanica, The Wichita Gardens: Stroll through the colorful and fragrant gardens of Botanica to the music of Jazz Forum. After taking in the beautiful sights, treat your taste buds to offerings from Restaurant 155, Sweet Basil, Cork n' Canapé and Everyday Gourmet.

Exploration Place: Spice up the night with hot music, cool exhibits and delectable dishes at Exploration Place.  Enjoy hundreds of unique activities as you groove to the John Goering Trio and munch on treats from Red Bean's at Exploration Place, Romano's Macaroni Grill, and River City Brewery.

Mid-America All-Indian Center: Celebrate Native-American culture through song and dance at the Mid-America All-Indian Center. Visit the Museum and Heritage Village then indulge in refreshments provided by Applebee's and Torres Pizzeria.

Old Cowtown Museum: Mosey through the past while touring Cowtown's historic buildings to the sounds of Prairie Rose Wranglers, Frontier Serenaders, Flatland String Band and Harmonica Hombres. Your trip to the old west is complete with refreshments provided by Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q, Red Mesa Grill and the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper.

Society of Decorative Painters: Visit the DAC Museum of Decorative Painting, which showcases examples of historic and contemporary decorative art. Take delight in listening to the West Side Trio and tasting hors d'oeuvres from the Green Mill Restaurant-Bar and Legends at the Airport Hilton.

Wichita Art Museum: As the sun goes down, art becomes illumination at the outdoor light exhibit of the Wichita Art Museum. Slowly wind your way indoors to the River Room to enjoy the smoky piano tunes of Brooksie Smith and hors d'oeuvres from the Airport Plaza Hotel, City Bistro, Larkspur and Tanya's Soup Kitchen.

The Early Bird Discount is available for $40 if reservations are postmarked by Thursday, June 6. After June 6, the cost is $45.
