What: Community Unity Day: Education, Recreation and Resources Fair 2002
When: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2002
Where: Atwater Neighborhood City Hall, 2755 19th Street
This annual event at Atwater will focus on education and providing resources in a fun recreational setting and will provide something for every member of the family.
Events include a fair featuring City and community resources, a community dialogue session, variety show, athletic games, a treasure hunt, a mural creation, carnival rides, and refreshments. Also taking place on this day will be the seating of the new Council of Elders.
Community Unity Day is sponsored by the City of Wichita, Family Services Institute, the Weed & Seed Project, USD 259, Regional Prevention Center, and the Council of Elders.
