City of Wichita public works crews will complete tree limb cleanup from the Sept. 15 storm on Friday. A few isolated areas will be cleared on Thursday and nearly all the requests outside the designated cleanup area have been addressed.
“We expect to be finished Thursday,” Aaron Henning, assistant Maintenance Engineer, said. “That will leave Friday for the final wrap-up. “
The cleanup operation included 53 people and 52 pieces of equipment (loaders, dump trucks, etc.). Estimated cost through Thursday is $112,000 for labor, equipment and fuel. About 1,200 loads of tree debris will have been collected.
