Eastbound traffic reduced to one lane Monday through Oct. 22
Improvements to West Kellogg between 119th and 111th Streets West (the vicinity of the Cotillion Ballroom) will restrict eastbound traffic to one lane for two weeks, beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday.
The one-lane restriction will continue overnight and on weekends until the project’s expected completion, Oct. 22. Repairs will be made to the pavement base, and the existing asphalt surface will be milled off and replaced with two inches of new asphalt.
“Motorists who normally travel eastbound on Kellogg during the peak morning traffic hours should allow for additional travel time, or might even want to take another route during these two weeks,” says Jim Armour, a City of Wichita engineer.
The project will include repairs to the westbound lanes of Kellogg at the 111th Street intersection only. Those repairs will be performed during nighttime hours, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
