Nov. 27 – Dec. 15
The City of Wichita is teaming up with the North Pole to collect letters for Santa and give away early Christmas presents that include a ride on a Wichita fire truck and a magazine photo shoot. Starting Nov. 27 through Dec. 15, children ages 12 and under are invited to drop off their letters at CityArts, Old Cowtown Museum and the Mid-America All-Indian Center (see addresses below). Children who include a return address will also receive a response from Santa Claus himself.
All kids who participate will be automatically entered in the gift giveway. Two grand prize winners will be selected to individually receive either a ride to school on a Wichita fire truck (only for kids ages 8-12 who live within the Wichita city limits) or the opportunity to model kid’s fashion on the pages of Splurge magazine.
In addition, one name will be drawn at each of the three drop-off locations to receive a gift pack. Gifts include a free youth art class at CityArts, family memberships to Cowtown and the Indian Center, a free sitting and 8x10 portrait from Camera Angles, free bowling and go-cart rides at The Alley and four passes to see an upcoming Music Theatre for Young People performance at the Century II Performing Arts and Convention Center.
Kids are limited to dropping off one letter per location. Parents must also provide their contact information and child’s age for notification purposes. Learn more at wichita.gov and click on “Arts & Culture.”
