5K run scheduled for this Saturday at Cowtown
 
Grab your running shoes and show your support for Old Cowtown Museum by participating in the Boots & Daisy Dukes 5K & Lil' Critter Fun Run at 8 a.m. this Saturday, Oct. 19. The fun, country-themed 5K race will start and finish at Cowtown. Adult registration fees are $35 for individuals and $30 for teams of four or more (fees go up to $40 individuals/$35 teams on race day). Youth participating in the Lil’ Critter Fun Run may sign up for $12 through race day. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Cowtown, located at 1865 W. Museum Blvd.
 
Runners of all ages will enjoy: 

• A picturesque course with country-themed mile markers
• Free downloadable event photos
• Chip timing to measure race time
• Prizes for top finishers and age-group awards
• Event shirt and one-of-a kind-vintage finisher trucker cap
• T-shirts, medals, face painting and wagon rides for all kids in the Lil' Critter Fun Run. Kids will run approximately 50 to 200 yards         depending on age.
 
For those who prefer to cheer from the sidelines, there are plenty of activities going on at Cowtown during the race. Admission is free all day for the general public.  For more information or to register online, go to bootsanddaisydukes5k.com.
