Stand-up comedy show at Cowtown this Friday
Old Cowtown Museum will present ICT Comedy Live at 8 p.m., Friday, July 12 in Empire House Theater. The show marks the debut of stand-up comedy at Cowtown and is part of the Empire House Live! 2013 concert/theater series. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. The ICT Comedy group has been performing together since 2007 and prides itself in creating uncontrollable laughter. The show will be hosted by local comedian Elijah Graves and will include performances by:
- Daniel Pewewardy and Derek Alders. Both are familiar names on the national college and comedy club circuit.
- Jarrod Tiede, winner of the 2012 “Wichita’s Funniest Person” contest sponsored by the Looney Bin Comedy Club.
- Mr. Biggs, “Wichita’s Funniest Person” for 2002. He was featured in an episode of “Last Comic Standing” on NBC. Along with appearing in some independent films, he has performed with Tommy Chong, Rob Schneider and many other well-known comedians and television actors.
ICT Comedy Live is one of many diverse entertainment options included in The Empire House Live! 2013 concert/theater series. Empire House Theater’s unique setting and intimate seating for 150 people gives Wichitans an up-close-and-personal experience with performers. Established in 1952, Cowtown is one of the oldest living-history museums in the Midwest. The Museum preserves our community’s history by immersing visitors in experiences that represent life in Wichita from 1865 to 1880.
