Kansas State University students who have been working on a riverfront design for the historic Delano Neighborhood will present their vision during an open house scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 at Aero Plains Brewery, 117 N. Handley Street.
The K-State landscape architecture students have been working in conjunction with the Metropolitan Area Planning Department and the Wichita Downtown Development Corp. Their project is titled "Downtown Riverfront Visioning Studio."
Media and residents are invited to attend the open house to view the students' work, which resulted from multiple engagement sessions with Delano residents in the spring. The students' work will be used to inform an update to the Delano Neighborhood Revitalization Plan. For more information, please contact City of Wichita Planner Matthew Williams at (316) 352-4864.
