A day of special activities is planned to celebrate the June 16 opening of the Advanced Learning Library, City officials reported today.
The previously announced ceremonial "Books & More Brigade" will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Central Library, 223 S. Main. Following the conclusion of the brigade, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will occur on the Advanced Learning Library's west plaza. Elected officials, members of the Library Board and others will make brief remarks prior to the ribbon-cutting. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. The Advanced Learning Library will open to the public immediately following the ribbon-cutting.
