Early Registration

May 1-31 | $50​
Register early for a chance to win a flat screen television. Must be signed-up by May 31.

September 9 - October 29 (8 weeks)
South Lakes Sports Complex

​​Scheduling Note:
Week 7 will be released after the completion of all week 5 games. This is to ensure quality match-ups for week 7. Week 8 will start the week of October 23rd with the first round of playoffs. 

Important 2023 Season Dates:

  • Teams allowed in full pads: August 1
  • Helmets & pads are not allowed if the heat index is at or above 100 degrees.
  • Late Registration Deadline: Friday, August 11
  • Coaches Background Checks must be completed by Friday, August 25 to be eligible to coach week 1.
  • Physicals must be turned in by 8/25 to be eligible for week 1.
  • Photo ID Day:  Thursday, August 10, 5:30-8pm or Saturday, August 19, 9am – 11am (Both dates will be at Barry Sanders Football Field)
  • Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, August 22 at Orchard Park, 5:30pm
  • ​First day of games: Saturday, September 9

The Greater Wichita Junior Football League has played host to some of the area's best talent. The league will take place at the South Lakes Sports Complex. With 16 full-size fields, there will be plenty of room for teams to warm-up and for spectators to socially distance. We also offer FREE practice sites for all teams that participate in the Greater Wichita Junior Football League. How to Register

New Players

If you are new to the league, click on the button below to register. Enter N/A for the questions pertaining to returning players while completing the registration. Feel free to contact the league office at (316) 268-4123 with any questions or for more information. The league office will work directly with new players to find them a team.

Returning Players

Every week a Player of the Game is chosen thanks to our sponsor Torchy’s! Wichita Park & Recreation spotlights one game each week, where two players will be chosen as Torchy’s Player of the Game. Coaches from the opposing team select the athlete that worked hard on the field, demonstrated good sportsmanship and teamwork during the game. Athletes receive a congratulatory letter and a gift card to Torchy’s to enjoy tacos with the family after the game!

COVID-19 Safety Precautions

South Lakes has 16 full-sized grass fields that will allow for proper social distancing during pre-game warm-ups and games permitting teams to space out and never use side-by-side fields.

Game times will be staggered to avoid teams and large groups from gathering. Permanent bleachers will be removed, encouraging spectators to bring their own chairs to sit in designated viewing zones.

Players will be encouraged to wear a mask when not actively playing or practicing, coaches are required to wear masks at all times during games and practices, and spectators are required to wear masks when social distancing cannot be done.

​South Lakes Sports Complex

This season, South Lakes Sports Complex will host all league games, allowing spectators to watch multiple games without traveling to different fields all over the city. With a concession stand, restrooms, play areas, on-site uniformed officers, and open parking with over 750 spaces, this season at South Lakes will be fun for the entire family!
