    Summer of Discovery
    Edgemoor, Linwood and Orchard Recreation Centers
    7am-6pm

    ​​Discover how much fun summer can be with this action-packed summer camp program for ages 6-12! Each week in this ten-week program features a different theme, field trips and is designed with fun in mind! Our KDHE licensed camps include a variety of sports, games, contests, crafts, swimming, field trips and much more! Sign up for one week or sign up for them all!

    Youth Tech Camps
    Boston Recreation Center
    9am-4pm

    ​These cool and innovative camps are completely interactive and hands-on.  Campers will be able to show and share their creations with friends and family at the end of each camp.  Students will be pushed to improve higher level thinking, problem solving skills and programming logic. Skilled instructors will encourage fun and creativity in a small class learning environment. Staff supervision is available during lunch hour for campers enrolled in both the morning & afternoon sessions. Camper provides their own lunch. Space is limited to 8 in each camp. Register early!

    Jurassic Park at Watson Park
    OJ Watson Park

    ​Grab a blanket and lawn chairs for a movie night under the stars! Watson Park is screening Jurassic Park (rated PG-13) on Saturday, July 20.


    Doors open at 8:30 pm; movie starts at 9:00 pm. Concessions will be available for purchase until the last 30 minutes of the film. Free for all ages!

    Dive-In Movies: Moana
    Aley Pool
    8pm

    ​Kick back and float at Aley Pool while you watch Moana (rated PG) on the big screen under the stars!

    Prices & Admission:
    Tickets are LIMITED! Purchase tickets in advance at the pool where the movie is being held to reserve your spot!
    - $3 per person, Ages 13+
    - $2 per person, Ages 3-12
    - Children ages 2 and under are free, but must be within arms-length of an adult at all times


    Doors open at 8pm; movie starts around 8:30pm.


    - Concessions will be sold. Outside coolers may be brought in, but no alcohol, glass containers or non-plastic silverware will be allowed on the premises
    - Inner tubes will be provided and must be used when in the water
    - Feel free to bring a folding chair/blanket for the deck
    - Proper swimsuit attire is required to be in the pool

    ​This summer, enjoy the sunset in McAdams Park while listening to live music from MERGE-N-TRAFFIC, The Just Us Band, NuGroove and eating delicious food from food trucks: Coco's Kitchen and Mo Hut. The event is free and open to the public. Don't forget to bring a lawn chair!
