The City of Wichita Airport Public Safety wants capable men and women interested in a career of public service to provide a safe environment for the traveling public. This public safety career spans several professional fields requiring the ability to meet exacting needs in a changing environment.

Selected candidates pass exhaustive criteria. Those selected are required to pass educational, psychological and physical testing. Satisfactory completion of training is mandatory to remain employed as an Airport Safety Officer. Advanced training is provided as needed and dictated by requirements. All recruits are in pay status during training.
