The Administrative Services Bureau is part of the Support Services Division and is located on the fourth floor of City Hall. The Bureau is made up of the Information Services Unit, the Fiscal Affairs Section, the Court Liaison Section, the Warrant Office and Animal Control.

The Warrant Office works with Municipal Court and other local, state, and federal agencies to ensure that court documents are served in a timely manner.

Information Services Unit
The Information Services Unit serves as a support unit by providing statistical data (crime statistics), conducting research on current topics, and analyzing crime trends for members of the Department on issues that are affecting, impacting, or could affect Police operations. In addition, the Unit maintains the Department's Internet and Intranet sites, along with updating and servicing the mobile-computer-terminals in patrol vehicles.

Fiscal Affairs Section
The Fiscal Affairs Section is responsible for the development and management of the Department's operating and capital budgets, grants management, invoicing and paying bills, and ensuring the overall fiscal health of the organization. In 2011, the Department operating budget is set at $74.5 million with an additional $2.7 million in funding available from grants. Fiscal Affairs also administers the City of Wichita Alarm Ordinance. Within Fiscal Affairs, the Payroll Unit ensures compliance with all City administrative regulations, develops methods for compliance with City, State, and Federal employee benefit rules, and ensures accurate timekeeping for the Department's 846 employees.

Court Liaison Section
The Court Liaison Section serves as a means of communication between the courts and Department personnel, providing all assistance necessary to ensure that officers and others who have been subpoenaed make their scheduled appearances. Section members ensure that only persons whose testimony will be needed are actually brought into court.
Wichita Animal Control
Wichita Animal Control is charged with administering Wichita City Ordinance and Kansas State Statues related to the care and maintenance of domestic animals. Animal Control Officers respond to reports of unconfined stray animals and animal bites as well as investigate allegations of animal cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership. Wichita Animal Control operates the region's largest and most modern animal shelter, capable of holding 172 dogs and 252 cats. Built new in 2009 and located at 3303 N Hillside, on the Murfin Animal Care Campus, the shelter sits next door to the Kansas Humane Society. Wichita Animal Control collaborates with the Kansas Humane Society on a number of programs, to include adoption of animals. The Wichita Animal Shelter serves as a contract provider for sheltering animals from many of the cities surrounding Wichita as well as Sedgwick County.
