The Wichita Chamber of Commerce Resource Center on COVID-19 is a coordinated community effort and clearinghouse to provide timely information and resources to Wichita businesses and individuals.

Small Business Administration (SBA)

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering low interest disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic impact as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19). The SBA will make loans available to small businesses and private, non-profit organizations. These loans may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other debts that cannot be paid because of the disaster's impact. The maximum loan amount is $2,000,000 for a term not to exceed 30 years at an interest rate not to exceed 3.75%. Please visit disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or sba.gov/disaster for more information.

Individuals

Unemployment for Individuals

If you are not working or working reduced hours due to COVID-19, you may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits.

United Way

United Way is a one-stop-shop where you can offer assistance or find help for the coronavirus.

If you want to help those who have self-quarantined or vulnerable populations, like the elderly, we’re accepting donations of hygiene products, bottled water and cleaning supplies at our office (245 N. Water St.). You can also make a monetary donation or by texting “ICTResponse” to 41444.

USD 259 Meals for Kids

USD 259 is giving out lunches to kids in Wichita. The child does not have to be from the Wichita School District, but they must be present at pickup. If a child has special dietary needs, parents are encouraged to call (316) 973-2178.

Helping your kids learn at home? The Wichita Public Library may be currently closed to the public, but Scholastic has introduced "Scholastic Learn at Home," day-to-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking and growing.
