Accident Follow-Up Unit
The mission of the Accident Follow-up Unit focuses on the protection of life and property from criminal and traffic-related activities through timely follow-up on impaired driver investigations, and the charging of criminal cases related to traffic incidents, striving to reduce loss of life, personal injury, and damage to property.
The Accident Follow-up Unit consists of three Detectives, one Police Officer, two Police Service Officers, and one Traffic Safety Officer. Personnel are supervised by a Lieutenant. The unit is responsible for the investigation of all evade and elude, felony DUI, Hit and Run, and traffic accidents with the potential of felony charges occurring in the City of Wichita.

Accessible Parking Program
The Accessible Parking Program assists in the endeavor to provide access to parking reserved for people with disabilities. Volunteers are utilized to identify violations pertaining to unlawful parking within accessible parking areas, as well as those who unlawfully block access zones. It is with the volunteers that violators will be identified and violations of these laws will ultimately be enforced.
