Today at the City Council meeting, the City Council heard the following items: 

  • Petitions for Public Improvements – Approved 7/0
  • Petition to Renovate Building Façade at 1101 W Douglas – Approved 7/0
  • Adoption of Franchise for Kansas Fiber Network, L.L.C. Approved 7/0
  • 2024 City of Wichita State Legislative Agenda and 2024 Joint Legislative Agenda  
    • Amendment to change Marijuana Reform to supporting Marijuana Legalization - Approved 6/1 Yes (Wu, Johnson, Hoheisel, Glasscock, Johnston, Ballard) No (Tuttle) 
    • Amendment to add to monitor list opportunities to partner with state opioid settlement funding – Approved 7/0
    • Amendment to move Medicaid Expansion from Monitor List to Legislative Agenda – Approved 4/3 Yes (Johnston, Johnson, Ballard, Hoheisel) No (Wu, Glasscock, Tuttle) 
    • Approval of State Legislative Agenda – Approved 5/2 (Wu, Johnson, Hoheisel, Johnston, Ballard) No (Tuttle, Glasscock)

Conditional Use Request in the City for Group Residence, General, Generally Located on the East Side of North Emporia Avenue, Within 100 Feet North of East 10th Street North (1110 North Emporia Avenue).

  • Zone Change Request in the City from TF-3 Two-Family Residential District to MF-29 Multi-Family Residential District to Redevelop Existing Home into a Multifamily Dwelling, Generally Located on the Southeast Corner of South Osie Street and South Santa Fe Avenue (1704 South Santa Fe Avenue).

  • CUP Minor Amendment in the City to Remove Portions of Land from CUP DP-116; CUP Major Amendment in the City to Remove Land from CUP DP-48, CUP Major Amendment in the City to Add Land to and Amend General Provisions of CUP DP-15, Zone Change from LC Limited Commercial District to GC General Commercial District; Generally Located on the North Side of East Kellogg Drive and West of South Webb Road.
