  • DMD CID

    ​The City Council approved the Douglas Market Development CID on December 2019 to facilitate the rehabilitation of the buildings at 105 and 124 S. Broadway as part of the larger project to redevelop the area into a medical campus including student housing, a hotel and culinary training center. The 2% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of rehabilitating the buildings.  The will retain 10% of the CID revenue to be used for public benefits within the District. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $3,600,000 is collected.

    Location: Buildings at 105 and 124 S. Broadway Avenue as well as 212, 221 and 223 E. Douglas Avenue. It also includes the City owned Chester Lewis Reflection Square Park and parking lot at William and Broadway . The area marked in red is excluded from the district

    Use: Rehabilitation and restoration of the 105 and 125 S Broadway.

  • Multi-Sport Stadium

    ​The City Council approved the Multi-Sport CID on January 7, 2020 to provide a portin of the financing for a multi-sport stadium hosting the MLB AAA Wind Surge.  Funds will also be used for infrastructure improvements. The 2% sales tax will be used first to provide upt to $13,000,000 in bond financing for the stadium and any additional revenue distributed on a pay-as-you-go basis for up to 22 years.

  • Douglas & Emporia

    The City Council approved the Douglas and Emporia CID on November 13, 2018 to facilitate the redevelopment a vacant lot and building along the Douglas corridor, as well as continue the redevelopment of downtown Wichita. The 2% sales tax will be distributed on a pay-as-you-go basis for up to 22 years or until a maximum of $2,207,000 is collected.

  • Spaghetti Works

    The City Council approved the Spaghetti Works CID on January 9, 2018 to facilitate the redevelopment of the existing building into 41 apartments and construction of a new 37,000 square foot commercial building on the Douglas facing parcel, adjacent to Naftzger Park. The 2% sales tax will be distributed on a pay-as-you-go basis for up to 22 years or until a maximum of $3,118,504 is collected.

  • Chicken N' Pickle

    The City Council approved the Chicken N' Pickle CID on January 9, 2018 to facilitate the construction of the Chicken N' Pickle restaurant including a rooftop bar, indoor and outdoor pickle ball courts and outdoor space for lawn games. The 1.5% sales tax will be distributed on a pay-as-you-go basis for up to 15 years or until a maximum of $2,300,000 is collected.

    Use: Facilitate the construction of the restaurant including a rooftop bar, indoor and outdoor pickle ball courts and outdoor space for lawn games

  • Delano Catalyst

    The City Council approved the Delano Catalyst CID on December 12, 2017 to facilitate the development of vacant land north of Douglas, between the Advanced Learning Library and the River Vista Project. This will include a mixed use development, high density, architecture that fits the neigborhood and incorporation of green space with a multi-modal bike/pedestrian path. Construction will consist of a 180 unit apartment and 3 star hotel with at least 80 rooms. 2% CID fo up to 22 years, up to maximum reinbursment of $3,000,000

  • Hilton Garden Inn

    The City Council approved the Hilton Garden Inn CID on August 16, 2016 to facilitate the revitalization of a vacant building along the Douglas corridor and continue the development of Downtown Wichita. This includes the Hilton Garden Inn with at least 120 rooms,6,000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor and a rooftop bar on the newly constructed building. The 1.5% sales tax will be distributed on a pay-as-you-go basis for up to 10 years or until a maximum of $930,000 is collected.

    Use: Facilitate the revitalization of a vacant building along the Douglas corridor and continue the development of Downtown Wichita.

  • WaterWalk Hotel (Fairfield Inn)​​​​​​​​​​​

    The City Council approved the WaterWalk Hotel CID on August 10, 2010 to facilitate the construction of a Fairfield Inn and Suites Hotel within the WaterWalk District. The 2% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of constructing the hotel. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $9,600,000 is collected. The hotel opened in July of 2011.

  • Maize​​ 54

    The City Council approved the Maize 54 CID on September 21, 2010 to facilitate the land acquisition, infrastructure improvements and other eligible costs related to the development of the Bowllagio entertainment center. The Bowllagio is planned to be a family entertainment center including shops, restaurants and a state of the art bowling and training center. The 2% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs associated with the development. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $75,000,000 is collected.

  • Kellogg & West

    The City Council approved the Kellogg and West CID on September 15, 2015 to facilitate the improvements to the areas around the Kellogg and West intersection. The district was expanded in 2017 to include addtional property. Improvements include demolition and/or rehabilitation of existing structures as well as site improvements, landscaping and public infrastructure improvements. The 1% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of land and construction. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $13,865,163 is collected.

  • K-96 ST​AR

    The City Council approved the K-96 STAR Bond CID on November 19, 2013 to facilitate the construction of the interchange improvement at K-96 and Greenwich. The CID will pay for a portion of the overall costs to construct a full interchange at K-96 and Greenwich Road. The interchange will support the development of the K-96 STAR Bond District, which includes the GoodSports Fieldhouse, a major multi-sport athletic complex, as well as retail development.

  • K-96 & ​Greenwich

    The City Council approved the Greenwich & K-96 CID on March 8, 2011 to facilitate the construction of infrastructure, site improvements, parking and landscaping costs associated with the construction of a Cabela's store. 1% of the additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the costs associated with the Cabela's site while the additional .2% sales tax is intended to contribute to a cost of a possible interchange improvement at K-96 and Greenwich. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $17,198,360 is collected. Cabela's opened in the spring of 2012.

  • Douglas & Broadw​ay

    The City Council approved the Douglas and Broadway CID on September 27, 2011 to facilitate the renovation of the historic Douglas Building into a 117 room boutique hotel. The 2% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of renovating the building and converting it into a hotel. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $2,560,000 is collected. The Ambassador Hotel opened in December 2012.

    The City Council approved the Central and Oliver CID on August 10, 2010 to facilitate the acquistion of land, infrastructure improvements and construction of retail and office buildings within the district. The 1% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of land and construction. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $12,500,000 is collected.

  • Broadv​iew Hotel

    ​The City Council approved the Broadview Hotel CID on October 2010 to facilitate the rehabilitation and restoration of the Historic Broadview Hotel, riverfront adjacent to the hotel and parking garage on Waco. The 2% additional sales tax will be used to reimburse a portion of the developer's costs of rehabilitating hotel. CID sales tax will be collected for up to 22 years or until a maximum amount of $2,680,000 is collected. The hotel reopened after the restorations were completed, in the summer of 2011.
