Who do I send my protest petition to?

If the subject property for the planning case is in unincorporated Sedgwick County, protest petitions are to be sent to the County Clerk's Office (Ruffin Building). If the subject property for the planning case is within the city limits of Wichita, protest petitions are to be sent to the City Clerk's Office (Wichita City Hall).

Examples:

  • If you live in the City of Wichita, but the planning case you wish to protest is in unincorporated Sedgwick County, the protest petition must be sent to the County Clerk's Office.
  • If you live in unincorporated Sedgwick County but the planning case you wish to protest is within the city limits of Wichita, the protest petition must be sent to the City Clerk's Office.

Addresses are available at the end of the protest petition instructions. Protest petitions turned into the Planning Department will not be sent to the correct Clerk's Office and therefore may not be deemed valid.
