If you received a tax refund, the City will accept a copy of the State tax refund payment (which usually is a refund check or ACH payment) as proof that the State processed your return. If you paid taxes to the State on your state tax return, the City will accept a copy of your canceled check or ACH payment as proof that the State processed your return. Without proof that the State has processed your return, your application will not be processed.

Yes. If your residence listed on your tax return is not in the City limits of Wichita you are not eligible.
Yes. If you do not file a State Tax Return for tax year 2023 (filed in 2024) you are not eligible.
