  • 2021-2022 Annual Action Plan

    ​As part of the 2019-2024 Consolidated Plan requirements, the City of Wichita has developed the Third Program Year Action Plan for expenditure of 2021-2022 funding received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to benefit low and moderate income persons. The public is encouraged to review and comment on the proposed Plan. On February 25, 2021, HUD announced the 2021- 2022 allocation amounts. The City of Wichita will receive: Community Development Block Grant - $2,925,565; HOME Investment Partnerships Grant - $1,519,843; Emergency Solutions Grant - $250,208.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As the City moves into Phase II of its re-opening plan and opens City Hall to the public, face to face interactions will be limited in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

We highly recommend communication by email or telephone. Only people with appointments will be seen by Housing staff. Here is a link to the contact information for the Housing & Community Services staff.

If you have documents to submit they can be emailed to or directly to your Housing Specialist.

In addition, they can be dropped off on the first floor of City Hall but you will be required to be screened through security, adhere to social distancing requirements, and wear a protective face mask.

There is now a dropbox located near the west City Hall entrance if you do not wish to go through the security screening process.

Section 8 Recertification and Relocation meetings have been canceled and those activities are now being done by mail.

Section 8 inspections have been canceled with the exception of move-in and health & safety special inspections.
