The Way to Work (TWTW) Summer Youth Program is designed to empower youth with the tools and resources needed to become successful employees - now and in the future! TWTW seeks to expose youth to positive work experiences, teach self-sufficiency skills, and it meet the needs of the community. This year, TWTW seeks to hire 175 temporary/part-time seasonal youth. If you are interested in a summer job remember the following things:
- Youth must be 14-17 years old by June 1st.
- Youth must reside in Wichita/Sedgwick County.
- Must meet income guidelines.
Primary Youth Responsibilities

Serve as a role model while promoting the program’s mission

Promote the City of Wichita’s mission and values

Accept and respect each program participant as an individual

Identify personal and professional goals and be a willing participant in the development process

Maintain acceptable attendance practices for the entire summer program

Additional job duties will be assigned once youth identify their specific placements in the community.
Additional Qualifications

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

Interact with other youth and staff in a pleasant and polite manner

Perform basic tasks such as reading, writing, and follow instructions

Ability and willingness to learn new skills
