COVID-19 Notice

Due to Covid-19 concerns, the City Prosecutors’ Office is temporarily suspending in-person walk-in hours. Citizens needing assistance with traffic citations or other matters may contact the Prosecutors’ office by:

Emailing questions or requests to prosecutor@wichita.gov. Please include your name, date of birth and citation number with any inquiry.

  • If the citation is for no driver’s license, expired registration, or no proof of insurance please email current proof of these items with the email. Insurance must have been valid at the time of the citation.
  • If the citation is for defective equipment and the equipment has been repaired, please email proof of the repair, or email a copy of the citation that has been approved and signed by a law enforcement officer.

Assistance is also available from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, by calling: (316) 268-4569, Option 5 then press 1. For questions regarding the scheduling of court cases, please contact the Municipal Court Clerk’s Office at (316) 268-4611.

All claims for damage filed against the City are reviewed and processed by Law Department staff.
